Classic “Montage Avance” Patterns

These are dry fly patterns created by A.Devaux in France sometimes during the late “thirties”, early “forties” .  Celebrities, like Charles Ritz, played a guiding role.
The main caractheristic of these dry flies was the unique way of tying, by pushing the hackle forward and finishing with a final knot behind the hackle.By 1963 , the procedure had been patented and the flies exported throughout Europe .
The seccond particularity consisted in the “Option C ” , which ment using one cock and one CDC  feather  to create the hackle.
We can adjust the color combinations to match specific geographic needs .
